Rights holders and members
At MPO, we manage the rights of music producers in Denmark. We do this by collecting remuneration and distributing funds to rights holders in the areas that fall under MPO's mandate. Rights holders are producers and distributors of recorded music.

Who can become a member?
As a member, you must produce music or have exclusive rights to distribute music or music videos in Denmark.
As a member, you can influence the decisions of the association. Members can run for the board and vote at the general meeting. As a member, you also transfer the management of certain rights to the MPO, and the MPO can enter into agreements that strengthen the collective interests of its members.
How much does a membership cost?
It is free to become a member of MPO. MPO's administrative costs are offset proportionally against payments of funds to rights holders - regardless of whether you are a member or not.

Licensee login
In order to receive royalties from MPO, you must confirm and warrant that you have the rights to the music tracks and music videos used in Denmark, as stated in MPO's digital claims system, mit.MPO. Membership is not a prerequisite for receiving royalties. If you do not wish to be a member of MPO, you only need to request a login to confirm your rights to music. You can apply for a rights holder login here. If you apply for membership of MPO and fulfill the conditions for membership, you will automatically receive a rightsholder login. As a new member, you do not need to apply for a rights holder login as you will automatically receive one.
Why do you need to verify the rights to your music?
In order to receive royalties from MPO, you must confirm that you own the rights to the music tracks and music videos used in Denmark. To confirm your rights, you must have a rights holder login to our online system.
You can then quickly confirm your rights to a specific track or music video on My MPO. You can also keep up to date on when the rights money will be paid out.
