Unclaimed Repertoire

MPO has distributed the majority of the rights funding from previous years. Among other things, the distributions were based on various music and music video reports (DR, TV 2, Uptown, VH1, streaming). The reports contain a smaller repertoire where MPO has not yet been able to identify the rights holders, and thus has not been able to pay out the rights revenue associated with this consumption.

MPO points out that the reports available at mit.MPO have been processed. The processing has been done to clean the lists as far as possible of royalty-free music, TV stations' own releases, useless data, etc. Sorted data can be requested by contacting MPO.

All music producers are encouraged to review the unclaimed repertoire lists. The reports can be accessed via the MPO's claims system mit.MPO. Read more about how to gain access on the Members page.

Frequently asked questions

Have you found your rights on the Unclaimed list?

If you are not yet a member or registered rights holder with MPO, you must first apply for membership or rights holder login. Once your application is approved, you can log in to mit.MPO and claim your rights. Read more about this here.

Unallocable funds

Please note that, according to the Act on Collective Management of Copyright, the MPO does not distribute remuneration to rights holders after 3 years have passed from the end of the financial year in which the relevant remuneration was collected. However, the MPO takes all necessary measures to identify and locate the rights holders, but when this is not possible, the remunerations are classified as non-distributable funds.

Radio playtime statements

A share of the Copydan funds distributed by the MPO is distributed on the basis of Gramex's radio playtime statements. However, at MPO, we only have access to obtain playtime statements for producers who are members of MPO. If you are not a member and have received radio playtime statements from Gramex, please send us your most recent Gramex radio playtime statement so that you can receive your share of the funds to which you are entitled.

Conflict resolution procedure

If two or more music producers claim rights to the same music track or music video, the claim will go through the MPO's conflict resolution procedure. The MPO will inform the affected music producers of the conflict and its nature, and the conflict will be resolved between the parties involved. The MPO cannot make a conflict decision. Ongoing conflicts can be found at mit.MPO under 'Dispute'.
